Montblanc Meisterstück 144 from the 1950s.

The timeless design of the classic Montblanc Meisterstück is still one of my favorites. The soft nibs from the 1950s are wonderful for writing.

I bought the fountain pen with an opaque ink viewing window, defective spindle, a company engraving on the cap, and a broken sealing cork.

After a proper cleaning, some sanding and a thorough polishing, the fountain pen shines again in its old glory.

I hope that it will now provide another 70 years of good service.
